Congratulations – IWA Resource & Outreach Centre, Clontarf

Earlier this week, the shortlist for the Irish Healthcare Centre Awards 2017 was announced. The awards have been running for a number of years and are generally acknowledged as the premier Healthcare Awards.

The Irish Healthcare Centre Awards promote special recognition of the achievements of all award finalists in the healthcare community and the category winners announced on the night. The event shines a spotlight on the fantastic work being done by Irish Healthcare professionals and nominations are judged by a prestigious panel of experts from within the Healthcare Sector.

IWA is delighted to announce that our Resource & Outreach Centre, Clontarf has been shortlisted in 3 categories, including ‘Day Centre of the Year’, a remarkable achievement considering in excess of 2,200 submissions were received in this category.

IWA has been shortlisted in the following categories:

  1. Day Care Centre of the Year
  2. Healthcare Department Initiative - Community Care Services
  3. Healthcare Fundraising Initiative of the Year

IWA’s nominations are ground-breaking and prestigious considering the Resource and Outreach Centre has now become the first non-HSE organisation nominated in the history of the awards.

The 3 nominations, ensures IWA is also the highest nominated organisation in the 2017 awards.

Speaking about the nominations, IWA CEO, Rosemary Keogh said:

I am sure you will join me in congratulating the staff, members and volunteers of the Clontarf Resource and Outreach Centre and wish them the best of luck in the finals which will be announced at a ceremony on Friday, 10th March 2017. The 3 nominations are a huge testament to the combined efforts of services users and staff, and the collaborative approach which IWA’s Community Supports Services implements on a daily basis and applies to the range of supports and programmes provided from IWA’s 57 Day Centres nationwide.

Congratulations to all staff, members and volunteers of the Clontarf Resource Centre and wish them the best of luck in the finals which will be announced at a ceremony on Friday, 10th March 2017.
